Under this item, the Executive Director will review a brief history of the Transportation Agency, its roles, and its progress in meeting its recently adopted goals and objectives. Attached is a copy of the TAMC authorizing statute, which established the agency as the successor to the Monterey County Transportation Commission in 1996.
Subsequent to the passage of Measure X, the TAMC Board engaged in a strategic planning process to set new goals and objectives for the agency. In short, those adopted goals are to:
- Deliver projects
- Maximize funding
- Communicate early and often (with the public and the Board)
- Prepare for the future
The objectives for meeting these goals are in the attached document.
