Subject:	Rail Policy Committee Meeting Time

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
DISCUSS whether to keep the meeting time at 2:00 p.m. or change back to 3:00 p.m.

SUMMARY:
On February 1, 2021, the Committee approved temporarily changing the meeting time at 2:00 p.m. with reconsideration of the meeting time at the June meeting.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact.

DISCUSSION:

On November 2, 2020, the Committee adopted a meeting schedule for 2021 for 3:00 p.m. on the following Mondays:

January 11
February 1
March 1
April 5
May 3
June 7
August 2
September 13
October 4
November 1

In January 2021, a recurring meeting was set for every Monday at 3:00 p.m. by Supervisor Root Askew for all of the County's Mayors. This meeting creates a conflict for five Rail Policy Committee members.

On February 1, 2021, the Committee voted in favor of a temporary rescheduling of the RPC meeting to a 2:00 p.m. start time so that those members can attend both meetings. The vote included a reconsideration of the meeting time at the June meeting.
