TRANSPORTATION AGENCY FOR MONTEREY COUNTY Memorandum | |
| | | | | | | | To: | Technical Advisory Committee | From: | Doug Bilse, Principal Engineer | Meeting Date: | May 6, 2021 | Subject: | Request for future TAC agenda items |
| |
| | | | | | | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | REQUEST input on potential items for future TAC agendas. |
| |
| | | | | | | | SUMMARY: | The review of local projects and issues are good candidates for future TAC agenda items. These provide learning opportunities to better understand challenging topics and help identify potential issues and lessons learned that could benefit other projects around the County. |
| |
| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION: | Technical Advisory Committee meetings provide a great environment for members to share ideas and experiences. The exchange of information is a way for other members to learn in a collaborative setting. Discussions are expected to cover topics that TAC members might eventually be involved with such as design criteria for roundabouts, traffic monitoring needs, implementing traffic signal clearance intervals, complete streets implementation, buffered bike lanes, and reverse angled parking. TAC members are being asked to identify projects they have worked on that might be of interest to share with other members, and recommend topics they would like TAMC staff to research and present findings at future TAC meetings. |
