| | | | | | | | SUMMARY: | The Clean California Local Grant Program is part of a two-year program expected to fund approximately $296 million to enhance communities and improve spaces for walking and recreation. |

| | | | | | | | DISCUSSION: | Caltrans is developing the Clean California Local Grant Program as part of a two-year program which will provide grants to local communities to beautify and improve local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways, and transit centers to clean and enhance public spaces. Through the combination of adding beautification measures and art in public spaces along with the removal of litter and debris, this effort will enhance communities and improve spaces for walking and recreation.
The first public workshop regarding the Local Grant Program funding and criteria will be hosted by the Caltrans Headquarters Clean CA group and is scheduled for September 1, 2021.
