| | | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT: | | The cost is estimated at $3,000 for one (1) bike locker, and $1,100 for two (2) bike racks. The recommended action would allocate $4,100 of the $30,000 funding available this fiscal year. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION: | | This application is the first for the new Active Transportation Support Grant program. The original request from Natividad Hospital for two bike lockers and two bike racks would use almost 24% of the funding for the year. The application specifies that bike racks would be preferable to bike lockers, so staff recommends granting only one bicycle locker and two bike racks, using 13% of the year's funding, so as to preserve funds for the rest of the fiscal year for other recipients. |
