| | | | | | | | | SUMMARY: | | The Agency has distributed Regional Surface Transportation Program fair share funding by population to the local jurisdictions for a wide range of eligible transportation projects. Funding is available at the discretion of the local jurisdiction for their chosen projects, upon approval by the Transportation Agency Board. |

| | | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT: | | Regional Surface Transportation Program funds originate from the State Highway Account and are controlled by this Agency. The King City is requesting to reprogram $83,427 of RSTP Fair Share funds. |

| | | | | | | | | DISCUSSION: | Examples of the types of transportation projects that are eligible for Regional Surface Transportation Program funding include: local street and roadway rehabilitation, bicycle facilities, pedestrian facilities, public transit capital and signal coordination and other safety and operational improvements. The Transportation Agency distributes the “fair share” component to the cities and County based on population. Funding is programmed at the discretion of the local jurisdiction to eligible transportation projects.
King City requests that $83,427 of their Regional Surface Transportation Program Fair Share funds be programmed to the King City Streets Project. The project requested by King City is an eligible project. |
